I really like a lot of the stuff Anchor Bay comes out with, and I saw something about the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in the beginning of the trailer, but honestly, I don´t care who Mr. Jones is after watching this trailer. Not only did I blow a gasket at the fact that it´s found footage again, but I´m getting serious shades of ¨Mr. Brooks Gets a Cabin In the Woods And Two Dumbasses Go And Stay There¨off of this. Maybe this movie is way better than the trailer, maybe I´m the only one who is sick of found footage, but I can´t with this one. It doesn´t look interesting at all. It just looks Been There A Million Times. Those are my thoughts. If anybody sees this movie and finds out differently, come back and report to me. For those of you who are interested, here´s the synopsis:
Scott (Jon Foster of STAY ALIVE) and Penny (Sarah Jones of “Sons Of Anarchy”) just moved to a remote cabin to escape the pressures of the world and breathe new life into their art. But they’ll soon discover they are not alone: an infamously reclusive artist – known only as ‘Mr. Jones’ – lives nearby. He doesn’t like to be disturbed, and only comes out at night when he drags his strange, sinister sculptures deep into the woods. When Scott and Penny’s curiosity leads them too close for Mr. Jones’ comfort, he plunges the young couple into a nightmare world of mayhem, madness and mind-bending terror.
I LOVE SOA, but I can´t place her (if she´s only just in season 6, that´s why-haven´t seen it yet). Anyway, this film was directed by Karl Mueller; this seems to be his first feature-length film (sorry for hitting it in the kneecaps with a monkeywrench, Karl). Like I said before, it comes out next month!
